Makeup Artist Yadim Carranza’s work is fabulous. He works with top models and photographers, and his editorials that are featured in high profile fashion magazines such as Vogue, Numero, and Dazed & Confused are beyond amazing.

In a few short weeks we will be entering into a new year. The January magazines set the tone for the new year. A very statuesque looking Carey Mulligan on W, classic Angelina on Marie Claire, sultry looking Jessica Alba, and a fresh, cool looking version of Lady Gaga on Elle UK.

These are great images both from the beauty supplements in Singapore Bazaar and Paris Vogue. Full-on makeup, there really is nothing better.

Melissa Tammerijn’s porcelain skin, huge blue eyes and razor sharp cheekbones, make her a stand out on the extensive ready-to-wear and couture catwalks she’s walked in the past couple of seasons. Born in Holland and now living London, where I spotted her last week, Tammerjin has been seen in major fashion mags such as Vogue Italia, Vogue China, Muse, and Dazed and Confused.

Dazed and Confused magazine celebrates 20 years of cool issues with a massive 20 different covers! These are 6 of our faves from the bunch.

Swedish born Andreas Sjodin is one of the most influential Swedish photographers today. His elegant images of fashion, beauty and portraits always has a strong visual style, sophistication, energy and wit. He has shot regularly for H&M and his editorial work can be seen in Vogue and Elle just to name a few.

I thought these ladies looked the best at the CFDA/Vogue award arrivals. Rooney Mara’s look was so striking. Matte black cherry lipstick, amazing brows, and spidery lashes were such a good look for her. Chloe Moretz had almost the tone down version of Mara’s look which was very age appropriate and suited her well. Olivia Wilde wore beautiful cat eyeliner, I do think she needed a bit more colour on her lips or cheeks to tie it all together better. Doutzen is just gorgeous always, even though her makeup wasn’t totally stand-out.
Jessica Stam looked the most fabulous! Love the slicked pony tail, the dark lip, the tux, Louboutins, and the long necklaces–it just all worked.

Makeup artist Mariel Barrera’s latest work in Vogue Italia featuring Constance Joblanski is gorgeous, and made me went to see more from this artist. A regular with Vogue Italia as well as other high fashion magazines like Numero and Russh, Barrera’s work is outstanding.

The fall issue of V magazine has 4 fabulous covers featuring some of our favourite models – Bambi Northwood-Blythe, Joan Smalls, Daphne Groenevald, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsey Wixson, Saskia de Brauw, Sui He, and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem. All the girls are outfitted in cheery cruise 2012 collections courtesy of Carine Roitfeld, and some serious colour blocked eyelids.

I love this image of Naomi Campbell photographed by Seb Janiak. The plastic android looking face is such a cool concept.

Discovered at the young age of 13 Barbara Palvin, now 18, still has the cutest young looking face, but those penetrating eyes have a maturity to them. She has been modeling in top fashion magazines like Vogue, L’Official, and walked down the catwalk for Prada, Louis, Christopher Kane, and Chanel to name a few. Currently ranked #47 on models.com she is a rising star that is sure to move up quite swiftly.

Diego Fuga is an Italian born photographer now based in New York. He has shot for countless magazines including Dazed and Confused, Surface, V magazine and Marie Claire.

The first campaign ad for Versace’s collaboration with H&M is here. Sasha, Lindsey, and Daphne look amazing. The clothes are classic Versace, for me this probably the most anticipated collab H&M has ever done. The chance of me scoring a piece are probably slim to non, since I don’t subscribe to camping outside the night before.
The collection hits select H&M locations November 17, 2011.

The makeup looks at the Milan shows were smouldering as usual. From pitch black smoked out eyes, to pouty nude lips, and skin that glowed for days, the Italian designers gave us everything we expect for spring and summer. Fendi surprised with thick black liner and extreme gold leaf eyes. All in all it’s shaping up to be a great spring season.

Makeup artist Kay Montano’s stunning work can be seen on celebrity faces like Gwyneth Paltrow to the editorials of the best fashion publications. Montano is also a sort after key makeup artist for fashion weeks in the 4 capitals. I worked backstage with her a few years ago at LFW and saw first hand how she creates flawless makeup.

Australian stunner Rose Smith is on a role. Starring in campaigns for Topshop and Jigsaw, appearing in Número and Dazed and Confused magazines. To walking in Fendi, Chanel, as well as Chanel couture and resort. Being requested by Karl Lagerfeld is never a bad thing!

Born in Bath, England, Anthony Maule honed his talents between London and New York and has emerged onto the scene over the last few years as one of fashion’s most original young voices. His talent for creating expressive images that push technological boundaries has quickly made him one of the industry’s most sought after talents.

It’s no accident that LA girl Ruby Aldridge is one of the latest models to watch. Younger sister to model Lily Aldridge, niece of model Saffron Aldridge and sister to fashion photographer Miles Aldridge, modeling was definitely in her blood. Since A/W 2010 Ruby has walked the runways of all the major shows and is now gracing the pages of many ad campaigns.

Swedish makeup artist Fredrik Stambro has such strong editorial images. I like the drama that he brings that makes the makeup really stand out. His work is often featured in magazines like Número.
