It’s freezing in London. The sun is out though so a fresh, tonal, somewhat spring look definitely works right now. These shows are classic examples of the flawless looks that graced the runways from New York to Paris. Immaculate skin, separated lashes, boyish brows, and a paled out mouth are required.

No white after Labour day no longer applies, because there really is nothing chicer than winter white. As seen at YSL, Burberry, and Stella McCartney the white trend is a must-have for the season. Your makeup palette can be anything you want it to be. It just depends what you want to stand out more–your outfit or your makeup look. I recommend highlighting the upper cheekbones with a glowy powder, define eyes with a bit of black eyeshadow smudged along the lash line, and finish it off with a beige lip.

Friday July 1st may have been Canada day here, but across the pond it was the day Kate Moss wed Jamie Hince. In what looked to be the most fabulous yet relaxed wedding of the year. Set in the English countryside, Kate wore a beautiful John Galliano dress and veil for the ceremony, and apparently changed multiple times throughout the evening into different dresses by Stella McCartney. Two of my faves – Sam McKnight and Charlotte Tilbury were responsible for her signature tousled hair and low key makeup. The groom looked very dapper in a double breasted YSL suit.

The celebration continued all weekend in true rock star style, with performances by Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop, Beth Ditto, and Bryan Ferry. Once the party was over Kate, in a white Stella McCartney trouser suit, and Jamie were air lifted by helicopter to an undisclosed honeymoon location. Now that’s how you do a wedding!

Close friends gathered in London earlier this week to remember the late Alexander McQueen. Despite taking place in the middle of London Fashion Week, out of respect, shows were not scheduled during the memorial service. Anna Wintour spoke, Bjork sang, and Sarah Jessica Parker was photographed crying as everyone remembered the legacy that was McQueen.

Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Stella McCartney all dressed in short black attire, with pointy black stilettos, for the opening of Mario Testino’s “Kate Who?” photography exhibit. Kate looked pretty fantastic. I love the dress, the Louboutins, and the cat eye make up. All very appropriate for an exhibit dedicated to images of herself.

I have been wearing Stella McCartney ever since it came out years ago. I’ve been through two bottles of the original, one bottle of the sheer version, and I still have a few of the roll on travel vials which are so convenient. So of course I have to try the recently launched Nude. Like the original Nude is a floral scent. A few of the notes are Moroccan Rose, Grapefruit, and White Peony. I like the vanilla which adds a little bit of sweetness. I don’t mind that they kept the bottle shape the same since the colour is different it seems modern and new.
